Bellevue is, very broadly, between Clermont-Ferrand and Limoges. It is two big buildings perpendicular to the Eymoutier-Felletin road, in between the villages of Faux-la-Montagne and Gentioux (buildings are on the left when you come from Gentioux). It is also next to the tourist lake of Vassiviere.

By train

The nearest train station is Eymoutiers-Vassivière (30mn from Bellevue by car) on the Ussel-Limoges line. Then it is possible to try hitching to Bellevue if it is not too late in the day (before 6pm). In any case tell us your arrival time.

By car

From East

Go to Clermont-Ferrand, then follow Limoges / Aubusson. At Aubusson follow Felletin. At Felletin, follow Eymoutier / Gentioux. Bellevue is 4km on the left after Gentioux.

From West

Go to Limoges, then follow Clermont-Ferrand. You have at a moment to chose between going forward to Clermont-Ferrand / Aubusson, or going right towards Eymoutiers / Lac-de-Vassivière. Follow Eymoutiers / Lac-de-Vassivière. At Eymoutiers, follow Nedde / Gentioux / Felletin. Bellevue is 3km on the right after Faux-la-Montagne.

From North

Two possibilities. Either the motorway to Limoges and then it is like if you came from West (see above), either this route : Go to Gueret, then go to Pontarion, then go to Bourganeuf. At Bourganeuf, follow Royère-de-Vassivière / Lac-de-Vassivière. At Royère-de-Vassivière, follow Faux-la-Montagne. At Faux-la-Montagne follow Gentioux / Felletin. Bellevue is 3km on the right after Faux-la-Montagne.

Practical informations

Accommodation

Camping exclusively, so bring your tent, thick mattress and very warm sleeping bags. Night temperature could go down to 5°C. Possible to park a few vans. If you cannot bear these conditions (because you come with kids or else, let us know as soon as possible)

Food

Cereals, dry vegetables, flour, sugar and oil are already bought and come from organic farming. We will make bread four times in our old bread oven.
We will buy all spices, coffee, tea, cow milk, jam... But it could be great if you can bring over some cheese and eggs, and some fruits.
IMPORTANT : Bring your own dishes : plate, bowl, glass, cutlery... There will be no at the place.

Money

Be aware there is no cash-machine at less than 15 km. We try to make it as cheap as possible but a financial contribution will be asked, probably between 30 and 50 euros, mainly for food, a little bit for water and all the charges generated by the organisation (phone, power, petrol, etc).
Standards of living differences according to countries of origin will be taken in account.

Climate

Bellevue is 737m up on the Plateau de Millevaches. The end of August could be quite cold and rainy (frost is possible during the night). So please bring WARM AND WATERPROOF CLOTHES ESPECIALLY SHOES.

Kids are welcome

They will have a warm and dry space. According to their ages and their number, we will organise us so that kids can be happy and parents can assist to the conference. If you come with kids, let us know as soon as possible and bring toys.

Internet access

There will be no internet access at Bellevue. There is a possibility to go to a café with a cheap internet access in the village (3km).
